Convenient public transport to Monash University Caulfield University. Bus 903 towards Altona will take you to Chadstone Mall and change the bus to 900 towards Caulfield. From there, bus 903 towards Altona will drop you opposite the hotel.

Getting to the conference
The RAILS conference will take place at Monash University’s Caulfield campus. The Monash University maps page shows campus locations and includes downloadable campus maps.

All Melbourne public transport, including trams, train and buses require travellers to use a MYKI card. Myki is a reusable travel card for trains, trams and buses in Melbourne and regional Victorian centres. Myki travel cards are purchased prior to travelling and topped up with cash before your journey. To use public transport, users touch on and touch off at a myki reader as you travel.

By train and tram
The Caulfield railway station is next to the campus. Four lines stop at the station: Cranbourne, Pakenham, Dandenong and Frankston.
The tram number 3 from Swanston street in Melbourne to Caulfield Station, via St Kilda Junction, will take you directly to the Caulfield Campus.
Bus 624 – Kew, Auburn Station, Caulfield Station, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Holmesglen TAFE, Oakleigh Station
Bus 900 – Stud Park Shopping Centre, Waverly Park, Clayton Campus, Huntingdale Station, Oakleigh Station, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Caulfield Station
The nine kilometres (six mile) trip from the city of Melbourne will take about 25 minutes in peak hour traffic and 15 minutes at other times.
If you are coming from Melbourne airport, add another 45 minutes in peak hour and 30 minutes at other times. A taxi rank is situated on the railway station side of Sir John Monash Drive.
A user pay, multi-level car park is available on campus for staff, students, visitors and the general public. Entry to the car park is from Princes Avenue.
Ticket machine parking is also available in the Guineas Car Park, Caulfield Racecourse – entry via Normanby Road.
